    In April 2020, Modig live streamed chip removal machining of a single aisle Aluminium Wing Rib, a strategic component previously machined on a high-end competitor’s machine in 1 hour 4 mins. Streaming live, the MODIG RigiMill MT (Moving Table model) reduced the cycle time by 59% removing chips in only 26 minutes.

  • Modig new facility for increasing demand

    September 2019: MODIG created a new facility in Kalmar, Sweden to cope with the increase in demand for its new RigiMill and popular HHV machines for aluminum stringers. This new factory will enable MODIG to achieve build rates demanded by the expanding order book. MODIG has delivered ~11,000 machines to date

MODIG achieved a world record cubic of 1,000 cubic inches in chip removal rate, beating the previous record that stood at 850 cubic inches.
